Interviews are done with a trained and certified Gatherer via the phone, Zoom, or in-person. The Gatherer records and guides the conversation, asks meaningful questions, and then uploads your story.

Correspondence is through email with a Personal Story Mentor (not AI, they are human!) who will connect and send you suggested questions based on topics you selected. You respond back with your answers via email or a form. Your Story Mentor may also suggest different photos or topics that can be woven into a book with your stories or request some additional details that will help enhance your story.

DIY or self-uploads let you record your own stories using audio or videos, and upload them anytime through your secure portal. No interview needed. We provide you with suggested questions and topics to help you with your stories.

We have several options available during the layout and printing stage of the book.

First, you read the story and make sure the content does not need any edits or changes.

Once the content is approved, we begin doing the layout using the style and cover you selected.

You will approve a copy of the PDF of the book before we send it to the printer.

All books are printed in color with your pictures woven into the stories and delivered directly to you.

We have to wait a few months (depending on your plan) because we need enough pages to actually bind your book. Our professionally laid-out books with photos require at least 50 pages to bind correctly (150+ pages if you want a title on the spine). Fifty pages, plus photos, are generally about 15,000 words or 2 hours of audio/video. If we don't have enough content, we can't properly publish your book, though your E-book can be downloaded at any time.

You can get your hardcover color book published for free with our subscription plans as soon as you hit the minimum months or content requirements.

Absolutely! With almost every package one book is included when you are ready to print, but once it is printed, we will give you a link to order more copies directly from the printer. You will also have a link you can share with friends and family should they want to order a copy.

Once we get your request that you are ready to publish your book, it is generally just a few days to get your stories to your for edits and approval. Once that is finished, it goes to book layout and you approve that copy as well before we send it to the printer. The book will ship directly from the printer in the US to your home. If you are reviewing and approving things in a timely manner, the "Print to Delivery" process is usually 3 - 4 weeks.
